The Importance of Prayer

One of the most important things a Christian can do is to pray. Prayer is an opportunity to spend time with God and to intercede on the behalf of others.  Sometimes we don't realize how powerful prayer can be.  When we have nowhere else to go, we can go to the Father in prayer.

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should not look only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."  Philippians 2:-4

Monday Morning Prayer Group

A small group meets weekly, seeking the Lord's will to receive forgiveness, to praise, adore, give thanks and intercede for the WVBC family.  The group prays for its leadership, the Council, for the Staff, individuals, missions and ministries, and major concerns around the world.

The group is currently meeting on Zoom at 9am on Mondays.  If you would like to join them, please email the church office.  All are welcome.

Prayer Chain
Praying for one another with immediate confidential prayer

Our Prayer Chain has been very active over the years.  The purpose is for those immediate, emergency prayers to flow from one team member to the next lifting the request continually before the Lord.  We have three teams.  These prayers are confidential not to be shared with those outside the Prayer Chain Team.  Passed to the next person in the link exactly as requested.  Then they ask God how to pray for this request often praying as the Spirit leads.
