Communion and Christ in the Passover Seder
A Messiah in the Passover program will allow our congregation to learn how Jesus feasted with His disciples at His Last Passover Supper and how he participated in this traditional Jewish Holy Day every year He lived on earth. Even as Jesus did this on that last evening with His disciples, He knew their Passover supper would illustrate His death for the sins of mankind to generations yet unborn. Using the traditional elements of a Jewish Passover service, our speaker will explain Passover’s history (Exodus 12), its meaning, how it was fulfilled through Jesus's death at Calvary, and why this Holy Day is still observed by Jewish people today.
