The Stones at Gilgal
The crossing of the River Jordan was a dramatic event for the Israelites, not unlike the crossing of the Red Sea. And God wanted them to be able to look back at the event and remember how it was made possible through His mighty hand. The memorial was the Stones at Gilgal.
