- Monitoring finances, consulting with Pastor Bob on ministry plans and activities

- Assign subcommittee roles for councilors, ensure the strong launch of subcommittee work
- Council retreat: excellent time of team-building, prayer, encouragement

Special projects
- Approval of reno work on our kids’ ministry facility
- Work on WVBC documents relating to Mission, Vision, and Values—with plans to review and reaffirm with the congregation in the fall
Noteworthy decisions
- To affirm the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada affirmation concerning MAiD
- Approval of Plan to Protect—a best practices policy framework for safeguarding children and other vulnerable individuals who are involved with the church (necessary for our insurance, and standard procedure among churches)
