Toni Pankratz, the church Office Administrator, had a particularly busy time last weekend. In the parking lot, the church hosted Edward Michell is described as ‘one of North America’s most unique and dynamic contemporary artists’. He uses materials such as tar from Alberta Yukon gold and silver, blue paint from blueberries, red paint from raspberries etc. etc. Edward commented that the setting of our parking lot was truly awe-inspiring and peaceful. He has a number of clients in West Vancouver. I understand that he had a very successful weekend.
Edward’s exhibition was quickly followed by a film crew supporting a sci-fi film with wardrobe and catering facilities.
So, looking back at our vision for the church yes, we can praise God for the opportunities He provides to serve. One of our Broad Strokes from 2017 was to ‘relentlessly make maximum use of our location, facility, and resources to serve the community’ as part of ‘Bringing Good News to the North Shore’. We also ‘celebrated and nurtured the arts’, another goal. We’ll welcome further opportunities like this to serve our community. And may many such events provide opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through word and deed. Thank you, Toni, for the great work you’re doing.

Sunday Sermons: each week, the Pastor’s sermon outline for the following Sunday is uploaded to the WVBC website usually by Tuesday afternoon. Many appreciate the opportunity to preview the Scripture, and to ponder the possible content of the upcoming sermon. This may also be helpful for those who take notes during the sermon. This is available in English and Mandarin. There is a link on the home page to access the Sermon Outline.
