Like many of you, I have been carrying around a small stone in my pocket these past few weeks. It has been a reminder to pray. To pray for a burden that has been on my heart for years.
I’m looking forward to joining all of you at our Good Friday services this week to lay that little stone at the foot of the cross. Trusting that Jesus will take it - and that this burden is in His hands. As a church we are entering a season of remembrance: this Friday at 6:45 pm we will gather to remember the cross, and on Easter Sunday we will come together to celebrate the risen Jesus as he meets Mary Magdalene in the garden.
Our service on Easter Sunday will be a joint service during which time we will celebrate the baptism of three very special people who represent the multicultural diversity of our church and the Kingdom of God. This would be a great service to invite family and friends.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
